Dubai Chocolate Crepes with Pistachio Kunafa Filling

Ingredients

  • 1 Old Fashioned Kitchen 6″ or 8″ Plain Crepe Shell
  • 1 cup kataifi, also called kunafa pastry, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup pistachio cream
  • 2 tablespoons tahini, optional
  • Milk chocolate sauce
  • Crushed pistachios

Directions

Prepare the kunafa filling:

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped kataifi pastry and toast until golden brown and crispy, about 5 to 8 minutes.
  3. Let cool slightly.
  4. Mix the toasted kataifi with pistachio cream and tahini, if using.

Assemble the crepes:

  1. Spread 2 to 3 tablespoons of pistachio-kunafa filling across each crepe.
  2. Fold or roll the crepe.
  3. Garnish with chopped pistachios, a dusting of kataifi, and chocolate sauce.
